Welcome to my website

Hi there,

This website is a showcase for the work I have done up to 2020 and introduces what I am focusing on now.

In the past, my main activity has been writing, which started in my teens working for a local newspaper, college magazines and then a local newspaper when I moved to North London in 1994.

My other passion is promoting artists and I started working with live music venues and artists in 1995 and ran various live events around London until 2004. Then I noticed that live music venues were turning towards stand-up comedy and wrote an article for Chortle about how the two scenes could work together in 2010.

I wrote about health and history for the Camden New Journal following my postgraduate in Journalism at the University of the Arts, London, and climbed up through a publishing company to associate editor level by 2003.

For examples of my work, please see my Recent Portfolio on this website and there are links to my FB page, Scribd, Pinterest and Twitter for events and press publicity.

Testimonials

I recently launched my scientific consultancy business and Sophie assisted me in writing the article that was published in a leading magazine in the sector Additive Manufacturing.

She was able to add clarity and focus to the message during the editorial process.  An ability to quickly grasp and understand new concepts led to contributions that made the article easier for the targeted audience to read.

Services

Speaking

Incorporation stand-up comedy and inclusive, empowering communication, I am creating interactive talks to look at ways to connect a more diverse audience of people with content that rewards and empowers them.

Research

Throughout 2020 and beyond I have remained objective about issues surrounding public health and compiled systems to put information about why we need to eat and how to follow our own healthy food journey at people’s fingertips for shopping, planning meals and menus and optimal health

Neurodiversity

An increasing amount of modern processes are geared towards organisations instead of individuals, which means they only cater for people’s existing knowledge. This can lead to processes becoming less inclusive and accessible to a wider audeince. I aim to connect people with tools for a better quality of life.
