Rented a beach hut for May Bank Holiday weekend
Friday 30th April
Question on Independent SAGE 1423. May go for swim. Jessica worried about G7 posters, police presence etc. Great meeting with Ciro and Toni at Plymouth Uni. Getting good ideas about app versus book. Need to hone customer journey. Simple app. Are you planning or shopping? Shopping – keyword search. Planning – takes through info then to micronutrient library. Planning has diet views or filters for foods under nutrients, ie fats, protein and fibre carbs, RDAs for supplements or whole library. See supplements, select food or supplement – selections go to separate page. Saved. Can use to shop, order, cook, record ie journal.
Saturday 1st May
Beach hut list: picnic set, bottle opener, chicken, cheese, spinach, paté, hummus, olives, salad, tomatoes, olive oil, utensils, lamb steaks, seabass, BBQ. Shopping: olives, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, Ph water. Went to hut, Patsy, her niece Lisa and husband Stu came as did Andy, Tyson, Ian and Jo. Swim to buoy. Andy, Jessica, Tyson and Eric worried then rushed me doing a Baba Papa in hut.
Sunday 2nd May
Got up before 10am and Patsy said wanted pick-up. Got granola and sat in sunshine wearing fluffy coat Dropped granola back We got to hut before 12pm highish tide. Didn’t swim and too late high tide, evening. Drank lots of red wine. Eric joined for breakfast. Doesn’t hear or absorb info. Still says “diet advice” when told him it was nutritional data. Eric drops me back at 9pm just before dark. Bed.
Monday 3rd May
Lovely moon when wake at 1am. Don’t sleep much til 7am. Dream of literally telling how I felt about invalidating my views. Wake up and make breakfast Get up around 10am. Do a call round re beach hut. Arrange to meet everyone by hut. Eric calls with plumbing emergency. Shower broken. Maximum time, focus and stress when could just call a plumber. Weather forecast bad. Cook breakfast, do some writing. Walk to hut.
Set up to do water pastel. Art studio problems sorted. I have my easel. Set up to do oil pastel. Eric arrives. Starts “art tutoring”. Never judge artwork in the middle. Patsy, Ewan, Phoebe and Lisa turn up. Help take bags to car. Finish first drawing then do another. Wind rushing. Lock up and return keys. Gail seems less chatty. Say will do a quiet week of artwork.
Tuesday 4th May
Cup and handle. (Word I can’t read). Being right. Not including others in consideration. Email from Smartline, follow up on scaling and spreading seminar. Eventbrite a real trial to load on this mac. Old mac – Yahoo – email – access webinar. Can’t remember yahoo password. Really good webinar. Ends up being just all women. 2 GPS, one nurse, links up on LinkedIn. Can’t see way in to Fran’s workshop. Not “Quick reference” enough. I don’t want to search email, Facebook, Zoom, Calendar, Linkedin, etc. Should be door with “entrance” clearly marked. Went to Lemon Twist. Had mussels. Very decently gave free drink as ipad didn’t send. No dairy or bread info. Walked back up and watched Battle for Britney. Nobeen did very good job. Watched David Bowie.
Wednesday 5th May
Started writing dystopian story at Harbour View. Discover Boris Johnson’s brother appointment at 7 companies despite being an MP including Dyson Training. Seems nepotistic. Tweet what I want election. Wrote up story idea for dystopian story. Jessica texted to apologise for not replying to messages, then said something about “current situation” then went silent. I cooked main meal then went to Saltrock to get a beach robe and Seasalt for their sale. I got 6 items for just under £20 each.
Great day to buy (20% discount) Need to nip back for trousers? Shorts? Go to Seaview and write in notebook Introduce main character. Thoughts. Diary entry. Historical references. Get home. Jessica replies on Facebook Chat Message to say sorry didn’t reply. Suggest says “going out” says left phone at friend’s place. Watch 4 hours of Sons of Sam about investigative journalist who wrote a book about cult murders.
Thursday 6th May
Joseph working HV, write a page in notebook. Get up and do some writing and researching. Twitter gone a little quiet. Not sure why. Have brief discussion with Jessica about beach, but sea stormy. Voting day so go to supermarket, drop Jessica’s stuff from beach hut off, see Ian P and dog Maud. Ian says swimming to buoy could be dangerous. Say used to do 3 times a week. Sainsbury’s packed.
Do vouchers, get all points. Drop car to go to vote with Robert. Sun out so walk to Lemon Twist. Have 3 drinks and some mussels. No I don’t. Walk home as cold, sit on roof terrace, watch sunset. Drink through 3 more bottles of wine. Robert says I’m nicest person he knows and am kind of person quiet people talk a lot around. Big compliment. Go to sleep at 3am. Wednesday bought (something) and Seasalt clothing.
