My Diary 2021 – week 14

Lockdown Karaoke Coven – 4th April 2021

Friday 2nd April

Wake at 10am and have lots of coffee, so get to Eric’s for 11am, taking car. Airidas apologises to Eric, Lizzie recommends a calendar to see who is doing what. Eric is angry about post. I say Airidas is lucky to live above living room. Eric took Patsy and Ed back after BBQ on beach and Airidas didn’t hear much sit gat was an idea.

After meeting I went home, dropped car and agreed to go to Sainsbury’s with Eric and the beach. In evening went to Patsy’s. Eric didn’t stay long. Patsy and I had some wine and karaoke. I slept on the sofa. Vicky came over too and I sung I’m a Gnu and 99 Red Balloons in German, had tea after wine run out. 3 bottles though.

Saturday 3rd April

Mike, Nathan and Will visited. Woke up at Patsy’s and called Pete to say could we speak later. Walked home and sat on sofa, Rubik’s Cube. Watched films and had food. Didn’t look at forms for downstairs. Spoke to Pete. He was sitting outside in Seville. Mariam was in a wheelchair. Saturday evening watched TV and went to bed.

Sunday 4th April

Woke early (3pm – joke) 8.30am and got up to cook breakfast. Nate went to see his mum. Went with Will to find chocolate eggs. Got last 3 in Spar as Tesco shut and Natural Store was shut. Last eggs had gone from Tesco on Thursday ie UK Easter Eggs with legs. Walked to Rosemullion and had picnic. Someone “hid” eggs on walk down. Beach had no water. Watched Life of Brian. Went to bed.

Monday 5th April

Woke at 10am. Made breakfast. Plan to go to beach, give Robert’s sister Easter eggs and go to collect gardening tools. Go upstairs to do creative work. Eat dinner then do karaoke. Invite Jessica and Sarah by 8am both armed. Vicky comes over. She finds her voice. Jessica asks to take my go. Say no. Sarah does lots of blues and soul, very entertaining. Vicky tells me she’s lonely. No booze for last 2 hours. Drive home.

Tuesday 6th April

Put recycling out at 3am before I went to bed. Slept to 9am. Checked phone, emails, Eventbrite whether Smartline was happening. Wasn’t so went back to sleep. Woke at 10.30am and got up. Helena downstairs texted about forms. Went to look and one said needed at LPE. Didn’t have. Emailed it over. Brother repeated to ask lawyer saying cost £300. Emailed lawyer saying hourly rate £230 + VAT. I simply could not see what could gain and lots to lose, Time, Stress, Money, why? Brother thinks downstairs not done anything for me. I don’t agree. Like to get out of way ASAP. Watched Made in Chelsea. They mention male communication a lot. Watch weird film about Hollywood.

Wednesday 7th April

Blood test 5pm. Woke before 9am. Made breakfast. Wrote post on “long hauler” page to get thinking going for book. Wrote 1448 words in an hour. Laptop plug a bit shaky. Went to Sainsbury’s. Texted Jessica to say someone found mum’s swimming spot in Cornwall. Trevone Cove. Found interesting article about stupid people. Shared with family Facebook etc. Says stupid people’s actions are worst for others and maybe themselves. Intelligent people’s actions better themselves and others. Day turned lovely. Will been staying for a few days. Hope weather getting warmer again. Can go to beach. New baring of day stupid people are dangerous. Had blood test.

Thursday 8th April

Got up at 8.45am, cooked breakfast and started writing blog on Hearth website. Veered off into coronavirus blog so tried to find how to copy. Thinked out of sight so asked WordPress. Helpful but said needed to be more user-friendly. Suggested glossary for quick reference for all tools used to. Google photos, just promises. Doesn’t work. Walked to buy Granola for Robert, came back and Will helped me clean roof terrace. Jessica messaged about beach and asked I with Eric. Said Andy was very ill. Watched Dragon’s Den. Touker Suleyman is a sexist bigot in my view. Male Dragons fail to see potential in hard working female entrepreneurs. The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind is a lovely true story of innovation to prevail starvation in Malawi.
